CLARA CLAUS SAVES CHRISTMAS BY BONNIE BRIDGEMAN – BOOK REVIEW

What!

What a brilliant Christmas story, we loved it. Freddie 7 read it so well, we had fun seeing all the names of the extra reindeer’s and what they were like, typical kids loved the one that farts a lot! Lol. Illustrations were good and didn’t take away from the reading, which I liked.

The book is very well written and superb for children to read themselves as the script was a good size and style. At the back there are some tasks for the children to complete but the best bit is the good variety so something will suit each child. We photocopied the page for their Christmas list so they could all do their letter to Santa.

What is going on your list?

Freddie loved the word search, plus there is an easy cookie recipe and a craft task of making a Christmas tree. So something for everyone to enjoy. I thoroughly recommend this book, 📕 it is the perfect book for Christmas and great for the children to read it to you.

Cracking Christmas Book

First the reindeer got sick. Then Santa got sick. Now it’s up to Clara Claus and her slightly annoying brother Nick to save Christmas. But with toys to make, elves to manage, lists to sort and flying reindeer to train, can they summon enough Christmas spirit to deliver the perfect Christmas? Clara Claus Saves Christmas is an exciting festive adventure filled with fun and Christmas spirit from the author/illustrator team that created the hugely popular Catch that Cough. Filled with friendship, family, heart and trust, as well as beautiful illustrations, Clara Claus is the perfect book to bring home this Christmas.

Popcorn anyone?

Bonnie Bridgman

Bonnie is her happiest in a land of imagination. Having worked as an actress for nearly a decade and perfecting the art of talking to characters inside her head, Bonnie took a leap of faith when her daughter was born and chose to write her characters down instead of acting them out. She can be found having many a conversation with said characters – notebook and pen poised, ready for any story they may tell.

Bonnie’s debut authored picture book Catch That Cough was shortlisted for the People’s Book Prize Best Children’s Book 2020.

In between writing Bonnie enjoys visiting schools and libraries to deliver author-led readings and activities for children, parents and teachers. Recently this has included creating rockets and playing hide and seek with a cough!

Bonnie lives in Hampshire with her husband, daughter and dog. You can keep up to date with Bonnie by visiting her website:
