Not…… we have had rain and thunder, which was the loudest I have ever heard and scared the living daylights out of me, for two days! Corinne said she has never known two days of shit weather in all the time she has been coming here.
In UK they are having a mini heatwave this week, jammy buggers but the thing that is keeping a smile on our faces is that next week it is going to be lovely and hot so we can spend it on the beach which is just up the road from our apartment.
We met up with Karen, Richard and Colin on our first night here in a new bar that is almost next to us called Elia, what a really nice place, decorated modern, cool and elegant. The owners are so friendly, we laughed so much and ended up going home about 2am. The best bit was no hangover as we didn’t drink very much as too busy talking and catching up. I hadn’t seen Karen for 9 years as that was when I was here last.
Yesterday we had brunch and evening meal over the road in The Barbados, Costa remembered me and was as cheeky as ever. So even though it is raining we have still had a good time. When the rain stops today we will be going for a walk along the beach and saying hello to the bar keepers that we know.
The apartments owned by Spiro and Maria are clean, comfortable and just what you need with good views. Many small seating areas outside where you can just chill out, or in my case do some writing and reading. The flowers here are glorious, so many bright colours and different varieties to what we get back home.
