UNSOLVED BY HEATHER CRITCHLOW – BOOK REVIEW

What a brilliant first novel, I loved every part of this and stayed up reading it way past my bedtime. The plot just gets bigger the more you read with hooks to keep you engrossed in what happened. Many different scenarios go through your mind and you never find out until the end. I found that a shock as wasn’t expecting it to end that way. Excellent writing and characters that all work so well together, I can see this author writing some best sellers in the future. Heather Critchlow grew up in rural Aberdeenshire and trained as a business…

Another excellent story from a very talented author. This story follows two timelines one which is the present and another from about a year ago but I must say it is very easy to follow. Many surprises along the way and a rather clever twist at the end. I couldn’t put this down as it intrigues you so much just thinking about what on earth could happen next. Will be in my top five books for this year. Georgina Lees studied creative writing and film at university and has since pursued a career in video game journalism, covering some of…

Kate is the ultimate planner. She has her happily-ever-after all plotted out, starting with her dream wedding to successful dental surgeon, Norman, and an iconic Las Vegas hen party with her three best girlfriends. It was great to read something so upbeat and funny, but does anything stay in Vegas? When Kate’s ex turns up to be a DJ there that is when the fun really starts, it’s just a shame Kate cannot remember marrying him! I loved this. Each year, on her daughter’s birthday, she adds a new book to her shelves – with a note in the front. A delightful story that was a pleasure to read, and also a brilliant idea that will encourage reading from an early age. The characters were so well suited to this moving story as it all just flowed as things fell into place eventually. Will the library recover or be gone forever, this is a story about rebuilding, not only places but people and their relationships. It will give you an understanding of the pain in putting things back together,…
