MONKEY WORLD TENERIFE
This is by far the best animal park I have visited as you can get up close to so many of the animals, which are so gentle when they take the food from you that you buy there. The crocodile just wanted to lay in the sunshine, a couple of the tortoises were huge so must have been so old. There were lots of cactus from tiny ones to huge ones. The seating areas on the floor by reception are very nice, I love the book wall, very handy if you have forgotten your reading material. As much as you read reviews you are never sure what the hotel will be like but Ben picked good as I really cannot fault this place, not only do you get three meals a day but also snacks morning and afternoon. The winter has been arid here in Malaga so I was surprised to see how green it was in the parks. Down at the port, there were some beautiful boats, how the other half live. There were a few small huts selling a variety of things. This is also where the tour boats leave from, which is about €12 for an hour tour around the coast. I thought these two were an unusual combination to be served in a restaurant but it worked and was always busy when we walked past as it was the closest to our apartment. The waiter spoke good English which always makes things easier. I had a beer, which was under San Miguel on the menu but didn’t come out with a label saying that but it was nice.
