Connie can’t wait to have her daughters back home for the holidays, but Fran is bringing a new boyfriend to stay. Why does he remind her of the biggest mistake she ever made? Then Fran announces she is pregnant, lots of issues to do with that for everyone. Are people playing a game? What secrets are they all hiding? A lot is going on here, but as the writing flows so well, it is a joy to read.

Her first novel, Playing Away, was published in 2000, and since then she’s had seventeen international bestsellers, translated into twenty-six languages. She’s lived in Italy, Botswana and London and is now settled in Guildford, Surrey, with her husband, son and cat.
