SPADEWORK GARDEN CENTRE A friend told us about this garden centre which we had never heard of, so we took a trip out in the sunshine and were so glad we did. This is a charity with not only plants but produce and a cafe, it really is lovely, so much choice. We have banned ourselves from any more garden centres though! Spending time in Birchington at the literary festival was good, there was a food tent run by the food of love, Thanet. This is a great tea room run by Natalie in Birchington, when I told her that I write a blog she said that I could say that her sausage rolls are the best! As we head toward summer it’s lovely to see the garden beginning to get a bit of colour in it, I keep buying plants so I’m really hoping for a brilliant display and have enough to cut for indoors this year. It’s great having the bank holidays and we get an extra one this year, courtesy of the queen and so many events on it is hard to know what to go to, although if it rains I won’t be going anywhere.
