FOLKESTONE IS A LIBRARY
What an afternoon it was yesterday, Saturday the 28th March 2026. Folkestone attempted to get into the Guinness Book of Records for holding the biggest BOOK SWAP. I guess there must have been over 2,000 people who attended this brilliant event.
The atmosphere was so nice, even though it was a bit chaotic, no one minded; they were just here to swap their books and have a nice afternoon. Everyone was talking about the book they were swapping or the book they had got, strangers joining in, kids playing. It really was an exceptional moment for FOLKESTONE IS A LIBRARY.

I loved the stall that had free books, just in case you forgot yours to swap, or you just wanted another book.
Did we do it? YES, 2,073 people made it happen. We turned the beach into the biggest book swap ever held in one hour!
