BOOKS AND NEWS

My flowers are doing very well this year, with brilliant colours, such as the lilies. We have had gorgeous sunshine, so hopefully it will carry on for the school summer holidays. I have been a bit quiet lately, as when I went for my steroid injection in my hip, he scanned it. He said there was inflammation there, so no injection. He said I need a new hip, so to get to ball rolling on that, I have had an MRI and am just waiting to hear what the next step is. I am not looking forward to it, dreading…

I had the Bay tree cut down again, but lower this time so the gardener, when I find one can keep it trimmed to that height. I do like it when it is cut down as you can see the palm tree better and it looks so nice. I had the same company to do the job and it was the same price as before. They also cleared up everything, which was such a relief. They are nice blokes and just get on with the job. I would highly recommend James for any tree or garden work you need doing…

View PostUNEXPECTED GARDEN WALK

Some mornings I walk round the garden and find such unexpected things, that make you wonder where they came from, for example these freshwater snails, Nerite algae eating snails were in abundance yesterday after the rain, I’m guessing this is why the water is very clear this year. Pleased they came to visit and hope they stay to keep the pond clean but I wonder where they came from. This frog just loves the sunshine and is so big, he also does not mind being stroked!
