One of the stalls that I particularly liked was this handmade jewellery which was so original as the bracelets wrapped around your wrist. I found this appealing as I have trouble with the catches on bracelets with my arthritis. I bought a pink stone bracelet that is really gorgeous. The website is here and they post anywhere.

It takes about two hours to get to Winchester from Folkestone depending on the traffic but as we went on a Sunday the roads were pretty clear. I had never been to Winchester, I was amazed at so many old buildings, the Cathedral was lovely with such great stained glass windows. I was thrilled to see Jane Austin’s grave on the floor of the Cathedral. The High Street is one of the longest I have seen and it was great to see all the individual shops open and doing well. View PostTHE END OF NATIONAL NOVEL WRITING MONTH
How did you get on? I managed to stay on my plan of writing every day so I think it was a success as I find you get easily distracted when at home writing. I may not have got to the set target each day but any writing is good writing.
View PostA DAY IN LONDON
The day started off very wet and windy, then as soon as we made our way to the bus stop to get the coach the sun made an appearance. The trip to London took about an hour and a half, going past many of the landmarks that are so well known. We were dropped right outside Harrods so we made our way inside for the start of the 4-hour shopping stint. There are five floors of everything you could wish for, with an excellent choice. They even have a food hall where London workers pop in to buy their wraps…
