WHAT AM I READING NOW?
I have just started this book by CATHERINE STEADMAN, LOOK IN THE MIRROR. I liked the sound of this when I bought it, and so far it is not letting me down. I am hoping to get a good grip on it over the weekend, as I am staying in. The weather is cold, and my new hip does not seem to like the cold. I am also a bit nervous about falling over if it is icy. Happy New Year to you. How are you all feeling? Hungover or very smug because you didn’t have a drink? I am friends with Jo’s mum, Linda, so we popped along to this event the other night, which was my first time out since my full hip replacement. A much-needed escape from the walls of my flat! We had an enjoyable time; the acts were fun and provided a good mixture of laughs that everyone enjoyed. I am definitely looking forward to more of these in the New Year. I had the pleasure of meeting Lisa a couple of weeks ago as she was talking at The Sandgate Literary Festival. It was such a pleasant afternoon. What a lovely lady she is. So down to earth, no wonder she writes such great books. I bought Breaking the Dark, and I loved it.
