NEW ART CENTRE IN FOLKESTONE!
KOLLECTIV.ART I found a great new art space that has just opened down the Old High Street in Folkestone, it is nice and welcoming when arriving and they are so friendly. You can find it by our Banksy picture and up from Bella Vita. The space is big enough to show some great art on the walls, which changes so all artists get a chance to show their work. Published by Long Overdue Books I met this author, Joy, when I was running the writing group in Folkestone, Kent and she kindly gave me her new book to review, I must admit the front cover appealed to me as I am sure it will to others. My granddaughter Kara has started a new part-time job here at Sunshine so I went in and had lunch with her when it was her break. The decoration is relaxing and clean, with the service being very prompt while doing anything to improve your experience. All the staff are very friendly and helpful even though for some English is their second language. I have made a few changes this year to my garden as I had the opportunity to buy a new shed and kit it out as my writing, reading and painting area. I am so pleased with it and looking forward to spending lots of relaxing time in there doing all the things I love. The flowers have been very slow this year which I think is due to all the rain we have had the last couple of months.
