I am friends with Jo’s mum, Linda, so we popped along to this event the other night, which was my first time out since my full hip replacement. A much-needed escape from the walls of my flat! We had an enjoyable time; the acts were fun and provided a good mixture of laughs that everyone enjoyed. I am definitely looking forward to more of these in the New Year. FOLKLORE IN FOLKESTONE

I met one of my friends in Folklore which is down The Old High Street where Banksy is, last week as her daughter Jo was doing a comedy gig there. I have never been here before but what a lovely and friendly space. They host many events and special nights so it is well worth a visit. The night was a great success with many laughs and some great comedians. Jo is doing well and is up for an award on the comedy circuit.
