FOLKESTONE IS A LIBRARY What an afternoon it was yesterday, Saturday the 28th March 2026. Folkestone attempted to get into the Guinness Book of Records for holding the biggest BOOK SWAP. I guess there must have been over 2,000 people who attended this brilliant event. The atmosphere was so nice, even though it was a bit chaotic, no one minded; they were just here to swap their books and have a nice afternoon. THE POGUE TRADERS I popped into The Quarterhouse last night as Jo was introducing the evening’s entertainment. Irish night for St. Patrick’s Day on the 17th March. I attended this art show the other day, mainly because it featured local artists. What a heap of talent we have hidden away in Folkestone! It closes tomorrow at 4 pm, so try to get along and have a look, they are also for sale, plus prints and cards. The choice is amazing with many colours to blend with your decor. Well worth a look!
