DAY EIGHT AND NINE
We started our journey home, leaving at 8 am Going through Switzerland again was stunning. Stopping for a few breaks and lunch then arriving at the hotel we stayed at on the way down. After a couple of drinks in the bar, we then went in for dinner, we had one of the dining rooms to ourselves which was laid out beautifully. DAY NINE We continued our journey back to Calais arriving back in the UK at about 8 pm with some duty-free, so easy when you are on a coach and don’t have to carry it! A great time…

VERONA We left the hotel arriving in Verona at about 10.30 am the coaches had to park outside the wall of the town so we then walked in following our trusty driver Clive. I have to say this is the most beautiful city I have ever seen, the buildings are amazing, many different colours, designs and shapes. We had an early start, with us not so bubbly this morning with most of the coach having a little nap. Going through Switzerland woke everyone up with the oooooo’s and aaarrrrr’s over the scenery. The picture book image you have of this country is just as it is, absolutely beautiful. We learnt a few bits of information from our trusty Clive, he is one of the best drivers I have encountered on coach trips. I am so excited to be starting our trip, everyone convened at the services 24 in Hythe at 8.20. I did feel sorry for some people as they had been travelling down to Folkestone since midnight. We then started our journey onto to Dover and the ferry. We had a bit of luck due to our welsh driver Clive and got on an earlier ferry at 10.35 and we got tickets for a free breakfast and coffee.
