LUNCH REVIEW
It was that time when the ladies that lunch meet up for their monthly get-together. I did not pop into the garden centre this time as I was told by Enzo I couldn’t go without him. Today, we celebrated Sylvie’s birthday. I won’t mention her age, as we all look much younger than we are… lol. Most of us had the set lunch menu, which has increased in price, but it’s still only £14.99 for two courses, which is not too bad. A few of us had the salmon, which was very nice. Lynda and I did not eat any potatoes of any description, as we are still on our no-carb diet. The vegetarian tart that Sheila had looked very nice and a bit different. The number of scampi was good and cooked just right. You don’t have to wait long for your food to be served, which is good if you are on your lunch hour.
The food, as always, was piping hot and cooked to perfection, plus you can help yourself to the salad bowl as many times as you would like. I can safely say that one small bowl is enough with your meal.
Most had the ice cream for dessert, apart from Sheila, who had a mini cheesecake and a pot of tea. A lovely time was had by all, and we ended by looking forward to the next lunch in June, which will be for mine and Sharon’s birthday.
Hope you are having a good week. We have rain here, but the gardens do need it. In an ideal world, it would just rain at night and be nice and sunny every day!
