THE MALTA INN, MAIDSTONE, KENT

BEEFEATER, MAIDSTONE I had a few days away visiting my mum as it was her 80th birthday! We went to the Malta Inn for lunch which is a lovely pub on the river, we sat in the window seat so we could see the boats even though it was raining once again. You can get some very varied and unusual shower curtains now especially if you buy them online. I thought this was a great idea and I will be doing it myself. You buy a shower curtain then make a basic wooden frame then staple it together, how simple is that, I think even I would be able to do that. You can buy the wood cut to size in some places so then just nail it all together and then attach the curtain. What a fantastic addition to the boring garden fence or the side of a shed or garage.…

Sometimes days and weeks go by with hardly anything happening but then it all changes and you look back and think, wow, just wow! I had two very ill granddaughters that ended up at the hospital, at different times luckily, so both had drips and strong antibiotics to carry on taking at home, which is still ongoing but both appear to be improving. Are many of your plants flowering really late this year? My Lilys have only just come out that’s the bulbs and the pond, I do love the pink pond ones they really brighten it up as the lily pads almost cover the pond with a sea of green.
