What a glorious setting for a Sunday lunch sitting in the sunshine, this takes me back to my childhood as we often used to come here as Nan and Grandad loved it and dreamt of having one of the cabin boats themselves. At The Malta, they have increased the seating and staff so even though it was very busy we got a nice table and within 30 minutes we had ordered and were eating our lunch. ESTELLA FASHION We took a trip to Rochester to catch up with another friend for lunch so took the opportunity of going to my favourite shop and a few charity shops. Spending time in Birchington at the literary festival was good, there was a food tent run by the food of love, Thanet. This is a great tea room run by Natalie in Birchington, when I told her that I write a blog she said that I could say that her sausage rolls are the best! As we head toward summer it’s lovely to see the garden beginning to get a bit of colour in it, I keep buying plants so I’m really hoping for a brilliant display and have enough to cut for indoors this year. It’s great having the bank holidays and we get an extra one this year, courtesy of the queen and so many events on it is hard to know what to go to, although if it rains I won’t be going anywhere.
