What a wonderful evening I had at the RNLI base at Whitstable for the launch of Julie’s new book, Murder at Mount Ephraim the place was packed and we all came away with a bit more knowledge about the RNLI, I must say that I did not realise that public donations and fundraising solely fund the RNLI. Being told about the price of the boats, clothes and equipment makes you realise what a fantastic job they all do with many just volunteers.
The next series of Whitstable Pearl on Acorn TV was filmed in Whitstable earlier this year so it should be on our screens later this year. It is so good to see the stories and the people come to life on the television and scenes from the local area make it all so real. I thoroughly enjoyed the first series and cannot wait for it to be on again.
This is Julie’s ninth book in this series, the stories are very different and all set around the area, it’s fun picking out where the next place is going to be. All we need now is a restaurant called The Whitstable Pearl to open in Whitstable then we can all feel like we are in the books and on the tv.
I am now going to carry on reading this new book so look out for my review, I just know it’s going to be great.

Thank you for your lovely words about RNLI and the work we do.
