JO BAVINGTON-JONES

GUEST POST FROM JO Crime pays, so they say. And, to a large extent where books are concerned, this is true. My crime novels far outsell my women’s fiction novels. So, having turned to a life of crime (fiction) in 2021, why am I still writing women’s fiction? That’s a good question! Crime and detective fiction are undoubtedly my first loves. From the moment I opened Richard Scarry’s The Great Pie Robbery at a very young age, I was hooked, and my reading taste has never really changed. At fifty-seven, you’ll still see me picking up the latest Robert Galbraith…

PUBLISHED BY HUT 22 BOOKS ON THE 3rd MARCH 2025 I am so pleased to start reading this book by another of our local authors. When sixteen years old, Mirabel, Josh, Sarah, and Robbie set out to explore the derelict Wheal Penrin Cornish tin mine, they have no idea of the…

I had the Bay tree cut down again, but lower this time so the gardener, when I find one can keep it trimmed to that height. I do like it when it is cut down as you can see the palm tree better and it looks so nice. I had the same company to do the job and it was the same price as before. They also cleared up everything, which was such a relief. They are nice blokes and just get on with the job. I would highly recommend James for any tree or garden work you need doing…
