It is that time of the month again, so we all met up at the pub for laughs, prosecco and food. There were only six out of the nine today which was a shame but we will hopefully see them all next time. There are always some good deals at this chain, so we made the most of £5 meals which we all had. This deal is on until the end of the month and has proved very popular. I just love these events every night. They are so different and entertaining, and they are also very short, so you don’t get too cold. They happen all over Folkestone at the businesses that Jim Jam Arts picks. When I ran the writing group, we did one from The Chambers, which was great. Here are the ones happening this year. I went to an author event at the book festival last week as it was an introduction to some of our local authors, I thought I knew most of them but I was super surprised to see the line up and only knew three of them! COOKHOUSE PUB LADIES THAT LUNCH We had another ladies that lunch last week at Brickfields with much laughter and news from us all. Two of our ladies could not make it so they were missed. Service was excellent with hardly any wait times for the food and it was nice and hot, for a change I had a cheeseburger and instantly remembered why I don’t have burgers when out for dinner.
