A couple of weeks ago, I took myself up to London on the coach with the Real Socialising group. Travelling by coach is significantly cheaper than taking the train, and it’s ideal for me as I can simply sit and read my book. The other advantage is that you can go wherever you want, and my first stops were some of the bookshops. There is nothing better than having a look around and finding something that you never realised you needed to read! lol
Covent Garden is full of marvellous stalls that sell just about everything. I picked up a gorgeous tea-light holder, which has its place on my desk. In the Astrology shop, I found this cute book with some unusual words and meanings. Did you know that Paralipsis means not worth comment, and deliberately not talking about it? I love books like this, so this also has a place on my desk. The candles were amazing in here, so I had a difficult choice deciding which one to have. I also found a cute notebook covered in books that has a magnetic closure, and I couldn’t resist that.
I stopped for lunch at Bill’s, never been to this chain before, so I was pleased to try somewhere new for me. I treated myself to a cocktail. The food was excellent, as were the staff. I sat outside and people watched a I enjoyed the sit down and time to relax.
I was surprised how quickly the time went, so I walked back towards the coach, where I stopped to have a drink before embarking on our way back to Folkestone.
