LADIES THAT LUNCH AT THE HARVESTER IN ASHFORD, KENT

It was that time of the month again, and seven of us met at The Harvester in Ashford for lunch. The best bit about going there is that there is a garden centre called Bybrook Barn, which I think is very good and you can sometimes get a bargain or two there. I got this plant for the fireplace for £7. I think I need a pot to put it in. I did have a nice grey one, but it’s too small.

The waitresses are so nice there, we have a laugh with them. The meals are always quick and hot. My piece of salmon was huge, especially as we all had the lunchtime deal, two courses for £13.99. You also are given a bowl so you can help yourself to the salad bar and bread rolls.

So we had to have dessert! Which were also a good size and delicious. Lots of talking, gossiping and laughs made for a wonderful time with all my friends. We have been friends since we all worked together in about 1992. Next month we celebrate Corinnes 70th which will be at Sylvies house. Looking forward to that as I am sure that it will be full of laughs and we won’t have to keep the noise down!

See you all for lunch in March.
