Mark Edwards writes books in which scary things happen to ordinary people, the best known of which are The Magpies series, Follow You Home and Here To Stay. His novels have sold over 5 million copies and topped the bestseller lists numerous times. His latest novel, The Wasp Trap, was published in 2025. This was good, but it took me a while to get into it. I would say the second half of the book is great, as it really gets into the story. The boyfriend of Holly has wondered what he has got himself involved in, but it’s fine, only a few days. The family appear to have everything, but no one is happy. What are they keeping from him?
Will he survive this New Year? I could not predict what was going to happen in this story at all, so that is always good, I think.
