WAVE HOTEL I went away with Kara, Ben and Enzo during his birthday week to the new Waves hotel at the Butlins resort. I have never been to a Butlins so I was so surprised and pleased as it was amazing. So many things there to do and see and in walking distance of the town, not that we left the site as too much to do. The rooms were big enough, Enzo loved his room as it was like being in a submarine, they clean and change towels every couple of days and there was tea and coffee available.…

HAWKINGE COMMUNITY HALL Where have those four years gone? Even though it is just up the road in Hawkinge, I had never been to this community hall, so I thought I would tell people about it, as it’s really super. It’s nice and big—or I should say huge. Kara had a big bouncy castle plus all the bikes and toys for the kids to run around, play and ride. The theme was pirates and princesses, and the children looked so good. THE WHITE HART IN HYTHE, KENT I had a day out with family for my birthday the other day and popped over to Hythe to The White Hart, I haven’t been in there for years, they now have a sun trap courtyard that is splendid for lunch. The chips were the best everything was very nice. I had the little potatoes with pulled pork, just the right size for a light lunch mind you I didn’t need any dinner that evening, Char had the chicken salad.
