I was so pleased to see the Lily of the Valley was at last growing in my garden. I have been trying for years to grow this; it reminds me of my nan and grandad’s house, as they had it growing outside the back door. The smell in the mornings was lovely when you opened the door. Last week I had a walk along the Harbour Arm. I have not been down there for a couple of years, as I could not walk that far with my hip. I was surprised at how much it had changed.
