AUTUMN IN THE GARDEN

I love autumn with all the different shades of colours of the leaves, particularly my grape vine with the greens, reds and brown leaves. We still have sunny days here and it’s lovely to get the last of the heat on your skin, it feels like it warms my bones up. The late flowering lilies are looking super this year, I will get some more of them so I can have a pot full of them next year. THE DIVINITIES BY PARKER BILAL PUBLISHED BY BLACK THORN I am about halfway through this, thoroughly enjoying it and as usual can’t work out who committed the murder of two people on a building site, they were actually alive when put there! It is so nice to hold a book as so many have been e-books on my kindle lately. You cannot beat a nice book to hold, do you prefer a book or your kindle?

I got this book during the summer from the authors so I am looking forward to reading it around Halloween. It really appealed to me as it is set in Romney Marsh and I used to live in Old Romney so I am hoping I will recognise places and it will bring back good memories. The Body on the Doorstep sounded like a book to read at this time as it’s not every day you find a body on your doorstep.

MICHÉL FABER I was very lucky to have Michél come and give a talk to my writing group, what a fantastic evening we had. Going through his life, writing and living in different countries kept us all enthralled the whole evening, finishing off with a super Q n A session.
