TINA TURNER

The Marlow in Canterbury was showing the Tina Turner life story, and Kara and I went to see it the other evening. It was very good, the singing was amazing, and how they portrayed the problems in her early life was very well done. She really was an amazing woman and very talented.

The theatre was packed, I had never been to the Marlow before, it is very nice, and we found parking close by. Walking is a bit tricky at the moment with my bad hip.

We had a piece of cake and a coffee in the Teastones, the slice of cake was enormous and the choice unreal. Definitely recommend this place on Sun Street in Canterbury, and I will be going again. You can also buy your coffee here, the flavours are amazing!

Opposite this cafe, there is a toy shop called Whirligigtoys. We popped in to have a look. I got a couple of bits for Enzo for Christmas. The range of toys is so different from the mainstream toy shops. I loved having a look in there and will go again for his birthday next year.

We had dinner at The Olive Grove, again, absolutely delicious and not big portions. This is by the Marlow, so if you show your ticket, you get 20% off your bill. Very nice!

We had such a lovely afternoon and did a tiny bit of shopping!
