CANTERBURY FOR LUNCH

THE CÓTE BRASSERIE

I often get the bus to Canterbury, it’s a pleasant ride and only takes about 40 minutes with the bus stop right by my house. I met Lynda there last week, and after our stroll round the shops, I had booked the Cóte for lunch. I had signed up for their newsletter online, so we were given two glasses of free fizz, which was very nice. I had already downloaded the app onto my phone, so we got one of the meals for £10, which was half price.

The setting was lovely, especially as it was a nice, sunny day, so the outdoor area was superb. The service was excellent, we both had the salmon. This was cooked to perfection and a nice-sized fillet, accompanied by a rich Béarnaise sauce with broccoli and roasted new potatoes.

All the meals looked lovely as they came out; they certainly take pride in the appearance and selection of the meats. I enjoyed it here and would go again; they do appear to have special deals quite often. I did see that you can have two courses from £22.50 at the moment.

This, I thought, was the best deal of all!

The Cóte website is here.
