FOLKESTONE HAS A NEW LIBRARY AT LAST!

It was great to see that the council had at last given us a new library after months of arguing about the old building on Grace Hill, which I must admit was a lovely building, but the repairs were just too much.

The opening last week was well attended by local people, with many children listening to stories. The place had been well arranged, with all services back up and running smoothly.

I think it will serve the community much better being located in the middle of town. Not far from the bus stops and car parks. I won’t get started on the lack of disabled parking in town!

I didn’t have time to look around all the shelves, so I am wondering if they had considered a stand for local authors. That would be a welcome attraction for local readers and writers. I will have a closer look next time I am in town.
