We’re giving you advance notice of the activity so that you can get a head start. All schools who share work by their students on Instagram on National Writing Day will be entered into a draw to win £100 National Book Tokens for their school library. To be in with a chance of winning:
- Share your students’ work on Instagram on Wednesday 24 June (this could be a photo or a short video)
- Use #NationalWritingDay and #WriteABookByItsCover
- Tag @firststory_uk
Please do share with any teachers or school librarians that you know. The winning school will be drawn at random from all entries on Thursday 25 June. |

I think this is a good day to encourage children to write something, does not matter what it is- just get them to write.
