There was certainly enough to eat last week when we all met up for our monthly lunch date. We had a couple of ladies missing because of prior engagements, and I had Enzo for the day, so he came with me. He had the spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread, which was a huge portion for him, but it is one of his favourite meals, so he had a good try at it. I had the ham salad, which was delicious ham; I just wasn’t sure about all the gherkins and small onions.
Very nice location with a big garden and lovely open seating areas, which were nice and cool. The staff were lovely, and the food came out all together with not a very long wait. It has been a few years since I have been in this pub, and it has certainly changed for the better. I would recommend it for food or even just a drink. Nice location with a car park over the road, plus on-street parking around the pub.
After we left my friends, we drove onto Hythe and met some family down on the beach. Enzo was fascinated by the jellyfish; there were a few of them in the water but not close to the shoreline. They had a paddle board with them, so it was fun watching everyone. Kara said that Enzo would not go in the water…. I could not get him out of the water!
We had a lovely day that just went far too quickly. Have you been to the beach this year?
