Hope you are all being spoilt today, I think this is a lovely day especially as grandparents are doing a lot more now to help their children. It’s nice to be appreciated even though being a Nan is so much nicer than a mum as we get to give them back and enjoy the very best of them.

How did we get to August so quickly? Mind you, the weather is like autumn and the cushions, etc for the garden have been indoors more than outside. The great British summer, if only it could be nice people wouldn’t need to go abroad then. I feel sorry for the campers when the weather is bad like this, rain all weekend! My daughter Billie lost her best friend yesterday, Angie. Far too young to be taken from us and leaving two daughters and a granddaughter. Why is it always the good ones that have to leave so early? One minute your bay tree is small enough that you can keep it all trimmed to a decent height, then in the blink of an eye it’s so big you have no way of reaching it to cut it down. That’s when you call in the experts, so my landlord got N.J. Apps to pop along and do the job.
