THE HARVESTER IN ASHFORD This is one of our favourite places to go for lunch as it is by the garden centre so we can pop in there and have a browse before lunch, also the car park is nice and big so you can always get a parking space. Then the best reason is that the food is delicious and the staff are so lovely. It was children’s day so I took Enzo and Kara along to see what they had going on and it was a lot from a treasure hunt, I did have trouble with one clue to face painting, mini wood house decorating, magic man and lots more. Very well organised, so friendly and happy to help. As Enzo is not three yet they could not paint his face so he had a skull on his arm, his choice. BEEFEATER, MAIDSTONE I had a few days away visiting my mum as it was her 80th birthday! We went to the Malta Inn for lunch which is a lovely pub on the river, we sat in the window seat so we could see the boats even though it was raining once again. The food was lovely and as it was a Beefeater you save the points for coupons off next time you visit. You can get some very varied and unusual shower curtains now especially if you buy them online. I thought this was a great idea and I will be doing it myself. You buy a shower curtain then make a basic wooden frame then staple it together, how simple is that, I think even I would be able to do that. You can buy the wood cut to size in some places so then just nail it all together and then attach the curtain. What a fantastic addition to the boring garden fence or the side of a shed or garage.…
