Shorter days, falling leaves and pumpkins for Halloween. Autumn is here so we say goodbye to sunny days at the beach, not that we have had many of them this year. What does October mean for you? All I can think of is heating on, cold, wet and windy days just like it is today but then the nice things are getting cosy on the sofa with your favourite soft throw, lighting the candles and having a mug of drinking chocolate with a dash of Baileys of course and then a good film or series. Restart Face To Face GP Appointments

I was happy to see and sign this petition as let’s face it we are not talking about a couple of surgeries that this is happening at,  it’s all over Britain. People are dying because they are not being diagnosed early enough. Every other service is almost back to normal, these doctors are not gods so just go back to work and stop being paid for sitting at home making a few phone calls. Yes, we know they are busy and there are not enough doctors but they all managed before. Let us free up A&E from non-urgent visits so…

HYTHE FESTIVAL I popped over to Hythe yesterday which is only about five minutes from Folkestone in the car, traffic was minimal and parking was ok. On the green, in the middle of the one-way system they were holding the festival and my writing group Write By The Sea had a few tables where members were selling their books plus we had use of the marquee for some readings.
