2022

Happy New Year to you and yours.

GOODREADS

I have the app for Goodreads on my iPad, it’s very easy to use and I find it the best way to keep account of what books I read each year. Last year my challenge or aim was to read 70 books but I’m afraid I didn’t come close to that as I only read 56 books during 2021.

I am not sure what happened last year, maybe it was because I tried too hard to finish a book when I really was not getting into it at all. Why waste time reading something that does not appeal to you?  Very sensible but hard when you don’t want to let any authors down.

MY AIM FOR 2022 IS 50 BOOKS!

I am doing something different at the moment and have 3 books on the go at the same time! It appears to be taking me a lot longer so maybe not such a good idea. I feel like I want to get these all finished so I can go back to one book and really enjoy it.

Do you keep an account of what books you read?

Happy reading

I have to rely on audiobooks now Karen which I can get free from our local library on an app called Overdrive. This keeps a record for me of books I have had, which is useful if you have failing memory like me.
I can manage to read a blog if it’s not to long and I can enlarge it to max.
I just wish more authors could afford to provide audio versions of their work, but I realise it is more difficult for indie writers. I feel lucky to have what I do have available. Good luck & pleasure with this year’s reading Karen. xx

I didn’t know about Overdrive, it’s good that it keeps a record for you. Every time I try an audio book I fall asleep!
Apparently it’s very hard to do an audio version as we make other noises while reading that we are unaware of! Lol
Love to you both, hopefully we can catch up sometime this year xx
