A DAY IN LONDON

The day started off very wet and windy, then as soon as we made our way to the bus stop to get the coach the sun made an appearance. The trip to London took about an hour and a half, going past many of the landmarks that are so well known. We were dropped right outside Harrods so we made our way inside for the start of the 4-hour shopping stint.

There are five floors of everything you could wish for, with an excellent choice. They even have a food hall where London workers pop in to buy their wraps for lunch. I thought the chocolate designs were beautiful.

The prices vary immensely, this chess set is over two thousand pounds! It is surprising how quickly the time goes and we didn’t do every floor. The choice of bags and shoes is enormous and I definitely could have spent a few hundred on them. I did manage to get a couple of Christmas presents, I really must start wrapping so I can see what I have bought, the memory is not what it used to be. On the way home the driver took us all around London to see the lights, don’t think there were as many as there have been in earlier years but this is down to the price of electricity I would guess.

I treated myself to a notebook and a pen in a lovely case also the gold bag has chocolate shoes inside, so all my favourite things. We didn’t get time to go to the champagne bar as we had a cream tea which was gorgeous.

All in all a super day out. I would recommend the Cosskeys coach trip and for £20 it was an absolute bargain.
