VERONA
We left the hotel arriving in Verona at about 10.30 am the coaches had to park outside the wall of the town so we then walked in following our trusty driver Clive. I have to say this is the most beautiful city I have ever seen, the buildings are amazing, many different colours, designs and shapes. I felt it was a very romantic city, especially by the Romeo and Juliette house where you can go up onto the balcony, I only took photos from down the bottom. Also, you had the statue there where the saying goes if you touch her right breast you will be lucky in love. The queue was long! lol
Outside of that building, there is an amazing shop where they machine your name on a piece of card and give it to you for free, they also have many items you can then choose if you would like them named. In some of the streets, the shops are very expensive as they are special places. They do have a market square for many of the touristy purchases which do appear to be the same all around Lake Garda.
This was my favourite part of the trip, which I was surprised about as I didn’t know anything about this town and all it consisted of. The restaurants are all very romantic looking and in the one we went in they even had chandeliers hanging from the gastro umbrella shades. It was stunning inside, I thought all of Verona was a beautiful city.
I would recommend this town as one you should see if you are ever in Italy.
