The weather is absolutely beautiful here and it’s nice and busy in the Old Town with many Spanish so it’s great to see the restaurants doing so well. Our hotel is by the harbour and where the doves collect on the seafront, very magical seeing so many of them. We have had the air conditioning on a couple of nights and catching the sun lovely during the day. We have had a couple of beach days and looking forward to going to Benidorm market over the weekend.
This morning we are sitting in La Pinta on the seafront having a coffee and croissant 🥐 watching the twinkling sea in front of us. We have had some lovely meals including Paella and Tapas, it’s lovely to try different places to eat. The paella restaurant was in the middle of the harbour road opposite a super playground if you have children. The owner Salvatore was so friendly with the food delicious and all freshly cooked.
- Nice wine
This has been one of the cheapest, chilled holidays I have been on as flight, hotel and transfers came out at £300 and you do not have to spend a lot of money on food if you look about. All the shops appear to be our downfall as we love the trinkets and jewellery, the case is a bit tight so not many will be bought this time. Considering the hotel is in the middle of The Old Town and about two minutes from the beach it is very quiet.
The Aperol spritzer is €8 here so that was cheaper in Italy at €5
The big glasses of Sangria were €5 or a jug is €14
Benidorm never loses its appeal to myself and am happy to come here by myself as feel safe and happy.
