I am coming to you live from this superb event in Folkestone as we try to get in the Guinness Book of records with our Poetathon which is for 12 hours. I have never done a live post so this is exciting, I just hope I can post the video that I am doing now.
Just pop along if you would like to read a poem, if you don’t have a poem but want to be involved then there are plenty of poem books here to choose from. If you have written some poems then that is great too, just bring them along and take a turn.
Anthony who started the group Poets Corner which runs in Folkestone every month is also here with many of the members who are reading their own poems, also their favourite ones.
This event is also multilingual so if English is your second language or even if you don’t speak any English then please do pop along and read in your native tongue.
Children are also very welcome so bring them along after school with their own poems or one of their favourites.
