WAVE HOTEL
I went away with Kara, Ben and Enzo during his birthday week to the new Waves hotel at the Butlins resort. I have never been to a Butlins so I was so surprised and pleased as it was amazing. So many things there to do and see and in walking distance of the town, not that we left the site as too much to do.
The rooms were big enough, Enzo loved his room as it was like being in a submarine, they clean and change towels every couple of days and there was tea and coffee available. We also had speedy enter so we could just walk in to all the events, which was handy as it’s not easy to keep a child waiting in a big queue. The food was all buffet style which we had paid for breakfast and dinner so we just went in and helped ourselves. The dining room was so clean and they were really quick to clear the tables. I was also surprised at the amount and choice of other restaurants that were there for you to eat in if you wanted too.
The bar was set in the middle so if you needed a rest from the shows, machines, puppet and mascot shows, then it was a good place to have a sit down and recuperate while they ran around in the climbing area. The swimming pool was so clean and full of fun things to do. Plus many events for different ages of children to attend. Enzo and I did pottery painting one morning, think he got more paint on himself than the teddy he was paining, lol. When you go and watch the shows you can order your drinks from the app on your phone which is great as no waiting in long queues.
Enzo absolutely loved all the shows, even Kara got into the Abba night! I really would recommend this park and I am looking forward to going back again, especially to the Wave hotel.
