DEAR DEBBIE BY FREIDA McFADDEN – BOOK REVIEW

Published by Poisoned Pen Press

Dear Debbie made the Sunday Times Bestsellers list shortly after its release in February 2026

#1 New York Times, Amazon Charts, USA Today, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Sunday Times, and Publishers Weekly bestselling author Freida McFadden is a physician who has penned multiple bestselling psychological thrillers and medical humour novels. Freida is the winner of the International Thriller Writer Award for Best Paperback Original, the Goodreads Choice Award for Best Thriller, and was honoured as one of TIME 100’s most influential people in the world for 2026. Her novels have been translated into more than 45 languages.

Freida lives with her family and cat in a centuries-old three-story home overlooking the ocean, with staircases that creak and moan with each step, and nobody could hear you if you scream. Unless you scream really loudly, maybe.

My favourite author, I cannot get enough of her books. They are all so different apart from the suspense, murder and trying to work out who did it. This started with a woman writing a Dear Debbie column in a paper, where she does try to give good advice and never says what she would really like to. Her life is unravelling. Is it payback time for all the wrongs that have been done to her? This will keep you reading all night; it’s very hard to put down once you start. Another book I highly recommend.
