ASPENDOS IN FOLKESTONE, UK
I was very lucky to win a £30 voucher for Aspendos in a raffle so I decided to make an evening of it and take Kara & Ben and Jade out for a meal. I had never been to this Turkish restaurant before, it is a very popular place with establishments in all neighbouring towns. The sea view here with the afternoon sun is really nice and warm, just right for a pre-dinner aperitif. We came here last year and loved it and it was just as good this year. They had an extraordinary moment where the child plants a magic seed, and then when with Santa they put it in a magic cupboard so when the child opens the door there is now a little Christmas tree for them to take home and plant. I did my monthly chat on Acadamy FM with Kay last week, I am amazed that we managed to get through it as watching Kay getting the earphones on and off over the hat, reindeer antlers and glasses was a mission and so funny. We had a Christmas event also last week which was great, I did a game of Blankety Blank and the words some of these authors came up with, well I could not print lol.
