I do love the way so many establishments are reinventing themselves in this pandemic just to keep themselves afloat. I try to promote businesses in Folkestone so we can share the word about the new places opening up. The Chambers are going one step better, not only trying new things themselves but also helping out the smaller businesses in getting known in the town.
The lovely Liz has been knocking up some good tasty jams and preservatives, looking forward to trying some of these, I will have to send my daughter with a list. lol
Rosie has a good eye for the displays, I’m loving the hand made bags so will be acquiring a nice pink one for myself. I love the way everyone is so friendly and helpful, we certainly need that in these very trying times.
It was great to see Terlingham vineyard joining in and hopefully selling a few bottles of their tasty wines, which are delicious, I know because I have tasted them all apart from the red. That will be on my shopping list, so look out for the review. Up at the vineyard where the views are to die for it is such a tranquil place we often said it would make a great reading or writing retreat.
Last, of all we have the many pictures and cards that are for sale here in The Chambers, the card shops are not open so pop along and stock up on the cards you will be needing this and next month, I think cards are meaning even more to people at the moment as we cannot celebrate our birthdays or see our families so a lovely card helps just a bit. My granddaughter is very despondent as she not only had her 18th in lockdown it looks like her 19th will be as well. At least she has a lot of birthdays to look forward to in the future.
Get yourself along to The Chambers on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, grab a bargain or two, or just stock up on the fresh fruit and veg. Shop local to support the small business.
