I love the Chelsea Flower Show, which is held every year in London. I have been once; it is a super day out with so much to see. It always spurs me on to get my own garden ready for the summer. This year I wanted to create a bit of a Zen garden after seeing some ideas in Spain.
We had a fantastic heat wave here last week, so I was in the garden every day… that’s why no blog posts were written! I opened up the small summer house and sorted all the painting equipment out, as I want to start doing some more painting this summer, as I have a few ideas to try.
I only have three frogs in the pond this year; I think that is because I have a few newt families. The Lilys are looking as if they will have a lot more flowers this year; they look so pretty when they flower.
The strawberries are doing very well, growing taller this year, so the bugs cannot get to them. I have picked the rhubarb about three times, and it’s still giving! I have cut back the grapevine as it does tend to take over the whole side of the garden.
I definitely think the garden has loved the hot weather as everything is growing very well. How are your plants doing this year?
