HURRY UP SUMMER

We had a false start a couple of weeks ago so I got all the cushions out and bought myself a garden rug, bargain at £9.99 from Home Bargains, I might get one for the camper as well. The flowers are also coming along so I hope this patch of cold weather does not kill them.

It was my grandson’s 21st last month and I know the weather can be unpredictable about this time of year. We had a family meal at The Pullman in Folkestone, which has a lovely outside area in the summer.

I got some stick on tiles and covered the old ones in the kitchen, was pleased with the result but I now wish I had white cupboard doors and then of course a new work top. Not sure what the landlord would say if I changed too much.

I also got rid of my display coffee table and bought a small shelving unit to put the crystals on, was pleased with the effect and think they look better on here and you can get to them.

The writing group is still doing well, having a nice range of writers and many people coming to the events. Our next one is going to be about the history of The Grand hotel which is probably the most well-known hotel in Folkestone. Arranging these events seems to make the months go by so quickly.

That’s just about all my news, for now, have a lovely weekend.
