LOVE

I’ve always loved you, that flows from their mouth so often, another one is I will love you forever. How often has someone said those words to you? I bet it is at least 80% of the people reading this. Why do words of love flow from people’s mouths, but they don’t actually mean it? Have we become a nation of not admitting the truth to others and ourselves?

Do the words I love you not mean as much anymore, so we just say them because they are expected or needed? Have we become a needy race, having to hear those words constantly to validate our feelings?

Love at first sight, True or false? Maybe it is more attraction at first sight, if this is very strong, does it feel like you would love all of them in that instance? You could then talk to them and realise you could not be with them even though you fancy them. Do we put more emphasis on looks than just what the person is actually like?

What I love about them is that picking the best bits of a person. Does that mean we do not like the other bits? Can you really love ALL of someone? We all have good and bad, with us all being different, but can we change for another person, and is that really a good thing?

Small things mean the most, I feel this is more to do with women, as they are said to notice all the little things more than men. Are we more observant, or are we just looking for touches of love, or do they just mean love to that person?

Have I become a cynic as I am older now? I do realise that people have lied to me and said those three words without meaning them at all. It makes me sad to think I wasted time on people who do not mean what they say. But how do you realise they do not mean it at the time? I think you have to take all the other things about them into account, and if there is a red flag, no matter how small, then move on. You may be missing something even better.

Have you found the love of your life? What does that mean for you?
