SUDDENLY SINGLE BY CAROL WYER – BOOK REVIEW

PUBLISHED BY CANELO ESCAPE IN 2019

Carol is another of my favorite authors as her crime thrillers are very good but after reading an article about her I discovered that she wrote this book. The cover and description made me want to read it so I asked Carol and she very kindly sent me a copy.

Like all Carol’s books once you start reading you can’t put it down, her writing makes you very impatient to see what is coming next. This story involved an author upping sticks and moving to the country to get away from her ex and the gossips but ends up beating her anxiety and becoming the woman she so wanted to be. Lots of fun and laughter on the way makes this a joy to read. A big five stars again for carol.

As a child, Carol Wyer was always moving and relied on humor to fit in at new schools. A funny short story won her popularity, planting the seed of becoming a writer. Her career spans dry cleaning, running a language teaching company, and boxercise coaching. Now writing full-time, Carol has several books published and journalism in many magazines.

Carol won The People’s Book Prize Award for non-fiction (2015), and can sometimes be found performing her stand-up comedy routine Laugh While You Still Have Teeth.
