THE HARVESTER, BYBROOK BARN, ASHFORD, KENT UK

LUNCH REVIEW It was that time when the ladies that lunch meet up for their monthly get-together. I did not pop into the garden centre this time as I was told by Enzo I couldn’t go without him. Today, we celebrated Sylvie’s birthday. I won’t mention her age, as we all look much younger than we are… lol. Most of us had the set lunch menu, which has increased in price, but it’s still only £14.99 for two courses, which is not too bad. A few of us had the salmon, which was very nice. Lynda and I did not…

My new favourite drinks! I started with the Strawberry Lemonade and made it in a jug, then put it in the fridge. After topping it up with lemonade, it makes a scrummy drink. Perfect for sunny days in the garden and so refreshing. Not as elegant as their cold brew container, though. They sent me a sample of the Chocolate digestives, which I had hot, and the best thing is that you do not need any chocolate biscuits with it as it already tastes like them. Great for the diet I am on. I have added a £5 off voucher…

DITA GARBO AT THE COTERIE FRIDAY EVENING I was invited to the launch of THE COTERIE, this newly renamed bar along Cheriton Place in Folkestone, last night. The canopies looked fabulous and went down a treat. Well done to the chefs for their artistic designs. The garden area looks fabulous and will be used as a super sun trap. This has been painted and decorated very simply…

This was something completely different, a bar in an original underground station! It seemed very spacious, but it was dark as the decor was all original. After going downstairs, you are shown to your table; again it is best to book, the menu is in the form of a newspaper. I did have trouble with this as even with my glasses on; it was too dark for me to read, so Kara used her phone torch for me. This was a shame as I wanted to read all about it, I took one home so you could all see.…
