I was very kindly given this to read by Harpeth press, what a super story, I loved it. Family is the theme that runs through this story with lots of love, humor, and sadness. Hannah was expecting to be laying on a beach but then she gets a call that her grandmother is in the hospital so she needs to go straight home. That leads to the problem of getting there as bad weather has halted the planes so it’s a slow car ride with other passengers.
The florist shop that is her grandmother’s pride and joy also Hannahs when she was growing up is in need of refurbishment and that all costs money that the shop does not have. How will Hannah save the shop and will her grandmother survive to be able to get back to the place she loves.
The romance comes from one of the car friends but also secrets that Hannah does not like, will anything come of this or should she just concentrate on the flower shop? This keeps you turning those pages to see what happens next, a truly lovely romance for a winter’s day.
