TOM JONES, GERMAIN, TAMZENE & STORRY AT AUDLEY END HOUSE, SAFFRON WALDEN
When you subscribe to Sky for various products, you are offered to join the VIP scheme, which is an email every month with offers you can request and competitions. I have been with some product from Sky for over 14 years, I only tend to apply for things if I have time when reading the email. Imagine my surprise to hear then, that I had won two tickets to see Tom Jones!
To realise this was the last show of his US and UK tours and we got extra songs was wonderful. We took fold-up seats so it made it far more comfortable than sitting on the grass like many outside concerts. We had not heard of the support acts so it was a pleasant surprise to see that it was an all-girl lineup and they were all so good.
The Germain girls from Australia, a rock band all had excellent skills with the instruments. I hope the family I have over there support them as they were very good.
Good on ya Tom for picking an all-girl line-up!

Storry was amazing, coming out singing opera then her own songs also a tribute to Tina Turner. I have never heard a voice as good as this in the range that she covers, her songs are all very much linked to her life. What a life she has had already and to be so transparent about it by telling the audience that she was trafficked as a sex worker absolutely blew me away.
This girl deserves all the praise for being a strong woman!
Then we had good old Tom, he never changes apart from getting on in years but to be still putting on performances like this at 73 years old is absolutely amazing. He still has a little of his Welsh accent and his little quips he does, sitting down for some songs I believe due to his hips as he has had two hip replacements over the last few years. I did not see anyone throw their knickers at him and I told my friend I would do that but I would still be wearing them! lol. This will be such a memorable evening in so many ways, to see a legend still performing and singing his first hit songs was just great.
