I like nothing better than wandering around a market, this one in London has just about every type of food hut you could wish for. Plus the biggest selection of stalls that sell many random things. Camden is always busy especially in the summer so going now it was pleasant to walk around. Sitting having a coffee and people watching is always good and I often pick up things to write about or just keep them in a notebook for the right story.
This umbrella walkway I had not seen before, what a beautiful addition and good that so much is undercover now. There were a few painted horses displayed around the market, I am sure it gets bigger every time I visit.
I then took a boat trip on the Jenny Wren up the Regency canal to Little Venice, you go through the Camden lock and then pass through London zoo, where you can see some animals if they are in their outside cages. The houses along the route are all large, we passed the one that President Obama stayed in when he visited the UK. There are many narrowboats moored along the way which are passed down in families most of the time. It was really interesting with a commentary along the way.
To get to London and the Camden market I went on a coach trip that is organised by Real socialising in Folkestone. They do many excursions all over UK and Europe so well worth looking them up, sign up for their newsletter then you get to see all the trips they are doing. This was my first time but it was a very enjoyable day out and so nice that someone else was doing the driving and for £25 I thought it was a very reasonable day out.
Here is their website with all the trips Realsocialising.
